*Important note for project and construction positions

Applicants will need a current 40 hour HAZWOPER certification to qualify for project and construction positions such as Laborers, Operators, Bear Hazing, etc.

Please read the minimum qualifications carefully.

For Barrow residents contact Ilisagvik College to register for the 40 hour HAZWOPER training course as soon as possible. For applicants who hold current certifications, make sure that it hasn’t expired. If your 40 hour HAZWOPER has expired you may contact Ilisagvik College to attend the refresher course. Bring all current certifications to UIC to upload into your application for qualification.

For Anchorage residents- contact ASRC Human Resources to obtain a short-term funding application for the 40 hour HAZWOPER training with NANA Training Services. Ask for assistance in scheduling for the 40 hour HAZWOPER certification course. Bring your certification to UIC to upload into your application.

If you do not hold a current 40 hour HAZWOPER certification, the hiring managers will not consider you for employment.
